"4* hotel that gives 5* treatment. Not to be missed" July 2, 2007

"This is a hotel that should not be missed! In a perfect world this is how all hotels should be. The staff were friendly and warm, nothing was too much trouble, from the Reception to the staff in the dining room/bar to the housekeepers they all helped make this a holiday to remember.

The hotel was kept spotlessly clean and is fully air conditioned, a Godsend as it was over 30c. For breakfast there was everything that you could want, and more, we were spoilt for choice. We were only B&B but other guests had much praise for the hotels evening cuisine.

We were fortunate to have a corner room which had two balconies both with sea views and views of the resort. It also had a 32'' LCD TV and a choice of channels. You could also order Sky movies if you wanted.

The hotel is situated across the road from the golden sandy beach and many shops that run the length of the beach road, (and unfortunately for me but not my wife) also the Thursday street market. It is central for everything, five minutes to the bus station, ten minutes to the railway station, and a fifteen minute slow stroll to the port.

If you are going to Viareggio then don't miss the Hotel President or you will be sorry".
